The American geologists have helped the Egyptian archeologists to find out in Aswan open-cust the ancient channel. As experts suppose, the scientists that worked there since 2002, have found out a part of a waterway of ancient Egyptians which they used for rafting stone blocks and even ready monuments.
Archeologists and historians already for a long time put forward the assumption, that Egyptiac workers moved building material up to destination, using water routes. Proofs of this hypothesis can be found in art culture of Egyptians - often meeting pictures representing such way of transportation of massive objects. Quite often ancient artists drew the workers standing on a certain similarity of barges and boats which were loaded with statues or obelisks. Besides the previous experience of excavation has shown, that similar channels really existed, and some of them even managed to be found out near to pyramids of Giza and the Temple in Luxor.
